I was recently contacted by someone wanting…

to convert from Saasu to Xero.

Back in March 2018, Marc Lehmann founder and CEO of Saasu announced they would cease offering new files for Tax Zones outside Australia (effective as of 1st March 2018). So businesses on Saasu expanding internationally – I guess have to be aware of this: https://www.saasu.com/blog/saasu-transformation-2018/

The gentlemen who contacted me was in this position and wanted to convert to Xero.

It’s currently not an easy convert.

If you wanted to do it personally, you would need to know Saasu well, to access the data, and know Xero reasonably well. Sure you could use my book Xero for Dummies, or Xero resources to help you. However, if you were unfamiliar with Xero, I would not advise you lead the conversion. If you were to manually do the conversion I would suggest you know both the solutions well.
Currently, JetConvert does not offer a conversion option – but if you have 50 Saasu to Xero files to convert, get in touch and talk with them – as they may consider it for a Beta trial.

Here are your options:

MMC Convert offer conversions from any accounting software to Xero. They will assess your existing file, and provide a quote outlining the work they will do. A number of my clients have used their services over the years and have been happy with them. I’ve met the founder Ankit Mehta and his wife and business partner Shanu Mehta at many Xero events over the year. You can contact them at www.mmcconvert.com.

Consultants that know Saasu and Xero well, and can work through a Saasu to Xero conversion.
