My accounting heart is bursting with joy. At the ‘Oscars’ for the accounting industry, I’m grateful to have won in the category “Thought Leader of the Year”.
Thank you to Cat Williams-Treloar for handing out the award, and Sharon McClafferty for a killer acceptance speech! I was unable to be there as I was needed on Gilligans dance floor in Cairns with my hashtag#TIF2024 crew.
Thank you to Kylie Parker for recording the award, and the lovely posts from Kylie, Brooke Kayira, and Amanda Newton Natalie Lennon and photo Sarah Lawrance FCPA.
I’m so proud to be a part of a strong supportive thriving community, and it gives me such joy to see our beautiful community accepting and showcasing our award.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me over the past few days, and those who I’ve connected with over the life of my career.
Thank you to Momentum Media , AccountantsDaily, and the sponsors of the event, including Intuit QuickBooks, CPA Australia, Ignition, Dext, My Accounts (AU) and others.
Thank you to all my wonderful clients, who have supported me, and who I have learnt so much from over the years.
Thank you to all the others who put yourself out there for an award. This was the fifth time I entered the awards, and the third time I made finalist. It’s hard. You make our industry better, by continually pushing us all forward.
I’d like to thank Mia Clifton, a specialist award writer, for assisting me with the submission.
There are so many things that I’d want to say. My head is always full of words. Which I guess is the curse of being a ‘Thought Leader’.
Below are examples of a few ofthe videos I made for my past submissions.
