Here are some of the ways I have been able to promote my business for free :-

1. I created a blog www.aniseconsulting.blogspot.com – go to www.blogger.com to create your own. I then register the blog with several search engines, and posted articles that current and potential clients may find interesting. Cost FREE. Time 15 – 20 minutes daily, if you are so inclined. Potential market – world wide.

2. An old school friend recently launched a web site. I congratulated her, and asked her how much it would be to advertise on the site, as I thought some of my clients may be interested in it. She offered me free advertising space for the first year. Cost FREE . Time 10 minutes. Potential market – Australia.

3. The swim school that my children attend releases a newsletter to all the parents of children who attend the swim school. They have a small Community News section, inviting local businesses to advertise. I asked how much it was, and was told it was free to anyone who was interested. Cost : FREE. Time : 10 minutes. Potential market – families in the local area.

I still have to think of 4 more to make this a viable article 🙂
