On Monday 11th December the Morningside Development Association Inc. presents its final instalment in the Business Owners Bootcamp Seminar Series, and we have left the best for last.
Our presenters;
Simon Lockyer is the founding director and CEO of Youngcare a charity with the mission of “To provide a dignified and relevant lifestyle for young people requiring nursing care”. In today’s world, there are many charity organisation competing for the recognition and funding. With a background in Advertising, Simon Lockyer has positioned Youngcare as an important and necessary charity, in Australias’ social framework. In a short space of time, Youngcare has been featured several times on 60 Minutes, Herron vitamins are donating 20 cents of all purchases to Youngcare, One Community a charity launched by the NRL has nominated Youngcare as its charity of choice, and for those of you who were at Southbank last weekend, you may have stumbled across John Butler returning to his roots and busking in aid of Youngcare (www.youngcare.com.au).
James Woodward is the director of In Control Pty Ltd a company established in 1993 to undertake consultancy work in the areas of Business Development, Financial Analysis and Information Systems. With a background in accounting, process re-engineering, financial management, database design, two-way radio systems and wireless technology the company developed the CARPS – a Task Management System and the TOPCAT an Audit & Compliance System. These handheld systems are now used in hospitals throughout Australia, New Zealand, and England. (www.incontrolgroup.com)
To finish off our business seminar series, we shall be hearing from the Queensland State Development, who will be talking about support they can offer small businesses. They will also have information packs to hand out.
