Last year Rick Van Dyk presented MYOB Time Saving Tips and suggested that we set up the rules in our Microsoft Outlook, so all newsletters automatically go to the same folder, so you can set some time aside in the week to read to them. Recently I have been signing up for RSS feeds, and someone suggested that I read them through GOOGLE READER rather than Microsoft Outlook with the same underlying principle, that I can read them at an allotted time, rather than interrupt my day. Also the time to SEND/RECEIVE in Microsoft Outlook does take quite a while.
So I have gradually moved all of my existing feeds across to
GOOGLE READER. This all went quite smoothly except I seem to be having some trouble with the RSS feed of my own blog. It took about three attempts before I was actually able to add it to GOOGLE READER and every time I check my stats at FEEDBURNER they seem to have changed dramatically.
When these issues arise, they take about an hour to resolve not time I have right now, so I will let it go, and figure it out by the end of the month.
