You can use the following 3 budget reports found within MYOB to monitor actual results versus budget figures.
Balance Sheet – Budget Analysis
Compares your balance sheet as of the end of the selected period with a simulation of what your balance sheet would look like if you had met your budgeted activity every month of the year.
Profit & Loss – Budget Analysis (Accruals)
Compares your actual P&L for the selected period with a simulation of what your P&L would have looked like if you had met your budgeted activity during the same period.
Unfortunately there is not a standard Profit & Loss – Budget Analysis on a Cash basis available within MYOB.
Jobs – Budget Analysis
Compares your current profit for the selected job(s) with your budgeted amounts, taking into account the completion percentages for each job.
This report does not break down the analysis of the budget into separate periods; instead it looks at the analysis as a whole, based on percentage completed. If you use jobs extensively, and want more in-depth analysis against your budgets, you should consider Money Manager an add-on solution to your MYOB Package.
