One of my favourite stores is that I tell everyone to go to is Lyssy Mays in Morningside. If I ever need a present for a female, I enjoy a 10 minute stop at her store. I like the simplicity, consistency and uniqueness of the wide array of handmade gifts she sells. I never have much time on my hand, and I actually hate shopping. I know I can park close, walk in, grab a present and be out in less than 10 minutes.

I was recently invited to Lyssys May’s Think Party – I was not really sure what to expect – Alyssa always has beautiful gifts for sale and I always enjoy a trip to her store, but it is very small.
I arrived, and was amazed to find 30 – 40 ladies in decked out in pink on the pavement, and in the store drinking champers and eating pink cup cakes. I only expected to politely show my face and run, but I spent the afternoon there. I thought I was attending a charity event but it turned out to be a meeting of many creative business owners, clothes jewellery and fabric designers, milliners, and many far more gifted than I. The party was to raise funds for The Wesley Hospital Kim Walters choices and it was a good job I stayed till the end I won the pink pack raffle prize!
