Heather Smith has recently been accepted as the representative of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants on the Australian Taxation Office Bookkeeping Advisory Group.
The Bookkeeper Advisory Group is a key consultation forum used by the Tax Office to seek views from bookkeepers, bookkeeping associations and nominated representatives of professional associations on Tax Office decision making and planning. The Bookkeeper Advisory Group is a sub-committee of the ATO Tax Practitioners Forum, which focuses on bookkeeping and BAS Agent issues.
Current membership of the Bookkeeper Advisory Group includes representatives from some of the major tax professional associations, bookkeeping associations and a number of independent BAS Agents who may be members of professional or bookkeeping associations but do not represent the these associations.
