Are you currently using the correct tax tables for processing payroll. As I write this 20 November 2006, employers should be using tax tables dated 1 July 2006.

As an employee don’t assume that you are being taxed the correct amount. Check it, or get someone else to check it for you, someone outside of the business that you work for, e.g. your accountant.

I have heard numerous stories of people taxed incorrectly for many years. Don’t assume your payslip is correct, check it periodically, your tax amount, your superannuation, and your entitlements.

You have earned it and it is rightfully yours.
