If you are using MYOB Business Basics and wish to upgrade, the only option for upgrading includes COVER. I personally do not think that it is fair that MYOB force you to take out COVER (an additional cost) on a software product that really does not require COVER. It could be argued that you get ‘New Features’ but many users feel they could take or leave the ‘New Features’ and they are not worth the cost.
The cost of upgrading from MYOB Business Basics to MYOB AccountRight Standard is $359 (as of 1st April 2010, price subject to change). Therefore, to purchase Business Basics at $199 and then decide to upgrade to MYOB AccountRight Standard + Cover at $359, would be a total outlay of $558.
To purchase MYOB AccountRight Standard (without cover) would cost $399 (note this price is only $40 more than the cost of the upgrade)
