I have had a wordpress disaster, which you can read about at the end of this blog post.
I am sorting out my shopping cart :- WP Simple Paypal Shopping cart because it is all about selling.
I read back over my last posting to refresh myself where I got up to. See there is some method in my madness.
There are three things involved in setting up the shopping cart
Step 1 – Create product page – I have done this.
Step 2 – Create Thank-you / Download page
I need to create a thank-you page. I did that – pretty straightforward. I made the Shop page a parent page of the thank-you page. I did not want it appearing on my menu bar. Frustratingly even though I have done this, it keeps appearing on my menu bar.
I need to go and check the dinner. Back from dinner. Roast chicken.
Did not live up to my disaster chef reputation.
I leave the message on my thank-you page:-
Thank you for your payment. Your transaction has been completed, and a receipt for your purchase has been emailed to you. We do not give refunds for software purchase if you simply change your mind or make a wrong selection.
You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, or different from the sample shown to you.

Step 3 Configure shopping cart settings. I think I have done that as well – guess I better try and buy something for 1 cent!
It turns out that I can’t buy from my own paypal account so I will need to get someone else to test it.
I have to stop working on it – but I have had a disaster. I can’t seem to get this page off my menu bar: – http://www.heather-smith.com.au/shop/thank-you/ it no longer exists, I have deleted it, yet it is still on my menu bar. Any suggestions?
