I have always wanted to get a wheelie bin sticker, so was intrigued to hear about  www.yourwheelie.com. The site allows you to customise small or large stickers for small recycling bins through to council wheelie bins. You can upload your own photo or choose a photo, and customise it to add your own text.

This is what my wheelie bin looked like before I applied the stick – quite typical I suppose?!?!

OLD BIN

A few days after placing the order a large cylinder arrived on top of my mail box.

My www.YourWheelie.com arrives

I choose one of the company’s own sticker designs – a cheeky monkey – and added my street number to the sticker. I never understand why people seem so reluctant to promote their street number! I want the mail to find me…

It took me a while to apply it because I wanted to clean the bin before I stuck it on. The bin was pretty happy that it got a good scrub before we put the sticker on. The sticker went on quite easily; there were two of us doing it. I guess with such a large sticker you could get in a sticky mess if you were not careful! So here is what the finished product looks like – nice hey! The only teeny tiny comment I would have about the product – which is hopefully useful to you if you run a business is: If I was walking down the street and admired the sticker and wanted to get my own, there is no branding on the sticker telling me to go to www.yourwheelie.com to buy it. I think this is a real missed opportunity to sell to my neighbours! What do you think? Do you like my giant monkey sticker?
